SUBMISSION

To submit your documentaries, please send us an e-mail to ififest@gmail.com. Deadline for submissions: 30th of June 2009.

To give our guests a unique natural event, submitted documentaries will have prime time screening and 3d animation, and will be projected on prehistoric rocks and ancient monuments in historical villages that are real gems of Portugal’s cultural heritage.

I-FEST

The I-Fest mission is to reinforce and empower the world sustainable solutions towards a more Fair, Equal, Free and Clean World, in a time of global Change and increasing social awareness. Social Awareness is in fact the first axis of our golden trilogy. Environmental Consciousness is the second Regressive Evolution is therefore, the third. Enhancing these sacred trilogy of positive answers to the global problems facing sustainable development, is the ultimate mission and final proposal of the i-Fest, the Fair of all social and environmental committed Film Festivals around the World. IFIF welcomes independent international festivals to present their own festivals here, generating a global village atmosphere.

This year’s festival first edition will coincide with the VIII European Geoparks Conference, and will be focused on a theme that is in line with the festival´s paradigm – the conservation of our world´s natural heritage - and, more specifically, GeoParks in Europe and worldwide.

A STONE TREE

This is the only film existing of the fossilized tree with over 5 millions years. These footages ocurred during the making of the Portuguese documentary Geopark Naturtejo - An Oasis in Europa which will be opening the IFIF 2009 in September.

IFIF primary goals:

Provide a venue for environmental audio-visual productions & internet geeks to share and consider each other’s work

Commencing new markets for environmental media productions

Inspire people to get involved to ecological issues and to create change

IFIF Film Festival tries to highlight with a holistic approach to sustainable living, the growing citizens movement from around the globe and show solutions available. Moreover, we hope to encourage the audience to connect to their higher consciousness and a sustainable living vision.

I-Fest

Social awareness is the degree of consciousness over the unlighted, obscure, unfolded facts of the social game. The obscure powers of our times, as the military, pharmaceutical and oil industries, move their influences over the Political sphere which should be controlled exclusive by its electing citizens.

Environmental consciousness is one of the most debated concepts of our present times. The conscious of the non-sustainability of our development practices is arising in an increasingly stronger global voice demanding a new paradigm running our never ending civilizational process.

Regressive Evolution is a theoretic ideology acknowledging the need of coming back to a civilizational point where sustainability happens naturally, almost without enforcement.
Not only the world needs ecologic policies and practices to survive, also Humankind needs a sustainable ideology supporting the Now! coming changes.

World Wide Task Force
The World Wide Task Force is Regressive’s Evolution main tool for the development of an ever lasting happy survival of all living beings in a sustainable world.

A world of equality and respect, where life and cooperative freedom are the sustaining values of a civilization yet to become as old as the destiny of the planet hosting it.

The commitment here is with the natural powers of Planet Earth and the human powers of free thought and cooperative will, as these are the ones bringing human corruption and deceive to its final end.

For that the W.W.T.F. needs all the efforts, all the minds willing to join themselves in the search and pursue of sustainable solutions and practices, as they bring the social empowerment which will lead to new practices and collective actions.

Green Tube

IFIF takes aim to build a true free virtual library for movies, documentaries and animations. In line with the IFIF film festival principles, we build up an international environmental film database. Information is directed at professional and independent filmmakers as well as educational institutions (schools, universities), to organizations and enterprises in the environmental policy area.

The virtual library is a perfect opportunity to learn and share cutting-edge practices for creating media that matters. Films can open our eyes to important issues and inspire us to get involved and make a difference.
